Russell Wayne White, 63, of Hughesville died Jan. 27, 2010, at his residence.
Born Feb. 24, 1946, in Newport News, Va., he was the son of the late Laverne Alexander White and Edna Louise Dawson White.
He was a master plumber and owned/operated his own business, Russ White Plumbing and Heating. He was also governor of Columbia Moose Lodge #126 in the early 1980s.
He was a Dallas Cowboys, Baltimore Orioles and NASCAR racing fan, and he enjoyed country western music, the outdoors, his puppy dogs and his beer.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Jo Anne White, whom he married on Sept. 19, 1980; a son, Brian (White) Mazor; his siblings, Beverly White Bowers and Larry White; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald White.
The family will receive friends Friday, Feb. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home in Charlotte Hall, where a funeral service will follow at 7 p.m., with the Rev. James Chance officiating. Interment will be private.
