The Charles County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying a burglar caught on video in the act of stealing a 12-pack of beer from Nick’s of Clinton in Waldorf.

The burglar alarm at the store went off at 1:53 a.m. Feb. 21. When sheriff’s officers got to the store at 3953 St. Charles Parkway, they found that someone broke into the store through the roof, stole the beer, the left through the front door.

The burglar is a black man between 18 and 22.

He was wearing a dark green hooded jacket with the number 22 in black writing on a white circular background, according to police. There is more writing under the 22 but it couldn’t be read on the store video.

Anyone with information about the break-in is asked to call the sheriff’s office at 301-932-7777 or Crime Solvers at 866-411-TIPS.

Crime Solvers is offering a reward of up to $1,000, and all callers remain anonymous.
