Bryant Dent enjoys his newfound independence in a new wheelchair at a banquet held Saturday at the Hollywood Volunteer Fire Department. Advance ticket sales for the event and member donations allowed the Bryant Dent Foundation to raise the matching funds for a grant to buy Dent a $25,000 "sip and puff" motorized wheelchair. Dent, who has been paralyzed from the shoulders down since surviving an automobile accident in 1991 at the age of 18, can work the chair using his breath and head movements.
