Burnells celebrate golden anniversary

Allen and Charlotte Burnell of Bryans Road celebrated their golden anniversary on March 25.

The couple, whose March 25, 1959, wedding was announced in the Maryland Independent 50 years ago, wed at Indian Head Baptist Church in Indian Head.

They celebrated their anniversary with family and friends during an April 18 lawn party at the La Plata home of their daughter, Dawn, and son-in-law, Saverio Adamo.

The couple has four children, Jeffery, Mark, Dawn and Amy, and two sons-in-law, Adamo and Jay Youngblood.

They have five grandchildren, Sophia, Hunter, Camryn, Peyton and Lily.

The Burnells have resided in the Bryans Road area for 43 years.
