Jane M. Smith, 81, of Upper Marlboro, formerly of Forestville, died June 28, 2009, following a brief illness.
She was born April 22, 1928, in Halpine to the late William and Lillian (Davis) Mooney.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herbert Lawrence Smith, and by her daughter, Kathleen M. Baumann.
She is survived by her sons, Herbert "Larry" L. Smith and his wife Cheryl of Selbyville, Del., and Michael W. and his wife Penny of Huntingtown; six grandchildren, Herbert "Larry" L. Smith and his wife Amy, Stephanie Christiano and her husband Derrick, Michael Baumann and his wife Kim, Beth Baumann, James "Jim" Smith, and Brooke Smith; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 6, at Lee Funeral Home in Clinton from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be held July 7 at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Catholic Church, 6700 Marlboro Pike in Forestville.
Interment will immediately follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton.
