Don Edward Denisar, 81, of Lusby died July 31, 2008, at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
He was born March 31, 1927, in Altoona, Pa., to the late Harry and Maria Eckley Denisar.
He served for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and retired in 1965. After retirement he worked as a communication technician.
He was dedicated to and actively involved with the Boy Scouts, serving in various positions for more than 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth C. Denisar of Lusby; his children, Les Denisar of Newburgh, N.Y., Teresa Beyer or Eldon, Mo., Michael Denisar of Herndon, Va., Christopher Denisar of Newburgh, Va., Carolyn Pazara of Arlington, Texas, Theresa Hiben of California, June Ryn of Manassas, Va., Raymond Thomas of Lusby and Robert Thomas of Panama City, Fla.; his brother, Bernard Denisar of Weyers Cave, Va.; 17 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The family received friends and a service was held Aug. 5 at Rausch Funeral Home in Lusby, with the Rev. Richard Gardiner officiating. Interment will take place today, Aug. 6, at 11 a.m. at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, Va.
