Air Force Airman Ashley B. Jones has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio.

She is the daughter of Robert and Patricia Jones of Indian Head.

Jones is a 2007 graduate of Henry E. Lackey High School.

Coulby leavesfor training

Andrew Coulby recently joined the U.S. Marine Corps and left for recruittraining.

A graduate of La Plata High School, he will be attending Marine Corps recruit training through Sept. 26 at Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S.C.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Coulby of Newburg.

Bowman returnsto the U.S.

Air Force Airman 1st Class Andrew H. Bowman has returned to the United States after being deployed to an overseas forward-operating location in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.

Bowman is regularly assigned to the Logistics Readiness Squadron at Pope Air Force Base in Fayetteville, N.C.

Bowman is a war readiness apprentice with two years of military service.

He is the son of Susan and Greg Bowman of Hughesville.

He is a 2004 graduate of Westlake High School.

Kelley promotedat Fort Meade

U.S. Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Joshua C. Kelley was promoted to his current rank while serving at Navy Information Operation Command at Fort Meade.

Kelley was promoted based on sustained superior jobperformance and proficiency in his designatedspecialty.

Kelley joined the Navy in December 2006.

He is a 2005 graduate of Westlake High School.

Daniels finishes Navy basic training

Navy Seaman Recruit Brian Daniels, son of Samuel W. Daniels of Nanjemoy, recently completed U.S. Navybasic training at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Ill.
