John Colbert ‘‘Tiny-man” Johnson, 55, of Washington, D.C., died July 20, 2008, at Providence Hospital.
Mr. Johnson worked in maintenance at the Smithsonian Institution.
Born March 13, 1953, in Ironsides, he was the son of the late Raymond Johnson and the late Mary Dent.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Crews Johnson; daughters, Temeka Veney and Monique Johnson; sisters, Thelma, Margaret, Sarah, Mary Jane, Annie and Emma; brothers, James and Andy; and grandchildren, Tiaimani, Nicole, Nakita, Rianna, Xijala and Darraniclea.
Visitation and a service were held July 28 at Marshall’s Funeral Home. Burial took place at Glenwood Cemetery.
