Dale Mariea Absher, 64, of Waldorf died Aug. 2, 2008, at Georgetown University Hospital, Washington, D.C.
Born Jan. 13, 1944, in Marion, Va., she was the daughter of the late Francis Cain and the late Glenn Patterson.
She moved in with her aunt and uncle in her teens where she met her husband, and they were married in 1963. She was the office manager for D&T Decorators, enjoyed arts and crafts, decorating her home and spending time with her family, especially her two grandchildren.
She was a member of the Waldorf Christian Bowling League for the past 20 years, one of her favorite and most enjoyable activities, and would always lend a hand to help someone less fortunate than herself.
She is survived by her husband, Theodore R. ‘‘Ted” Absher; sons, Theodore R. ‘‘Ted” Absher II of Florida and Terry and his wife, Carol Absher of Mechanicsville; sisters, Sharon Baily and Judy Gregorec, both of Florida; and grandchildren, Terry Absher Jr. and Devin Absher.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Aug. 8 at Raymond Funeral Service chapel, La Plata, where a celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Aug. 9.
The Rev. Mark Roberson will officiate. Burial will take place at Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf.
