Mary Elizabeth Thompson, 77, of Cobb Island, formerly of Brandywine, died , of natural causes Aug. 1, 2008, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata.
She worked as a custodian for the Prince George’s County Police Department.
Born June 21, 1931, in Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Charles William Butler and the late Mary Ida Thompson.
She is survived by her son, John E. Thompson; daughters, Phyllis ‘‘Sandy” Harley, Denise ‘‘Roxanne” Thompson and Lisa Duckett and her husband, Tyrone; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and other relatives.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Aug. 8 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Clinton. Burial will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Arrangements are being handled by Adams Funeral Home, Aquasco.
