Riptide too strong for diamond foes

The Riptide, which finished 11-5 on the season, was also crowned co-champions of the ‘‘Super Six” Calvert County Championship Tournament, which was sponsored by 5 Star Athletics.

Northern Calvert, which was sponsored by J&R Business Care Inc., also placed second in the season-ending Maryland District 7 Chesapeake Conference’s ‘‘Battle by the Bay” championship game held at Dunkirk District Park.
