Lucky dogs ... and their owners Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2008
Dylan Lawson, left, and his canine partner, Lucky, and Ryan Mavilia, and his puppy pal, Buddy, show off some of the ribbons they earned at the Southern Maryland Regional 4-H Dog Show the first weekend in June. They are members of the Lucky Dogs 4-H Club. This was each youngster’s first dog show, and they did very well at their initial outing, according to a press release. In the ‘‘Fitting and Showing” category, Lawson received first place in the senior division and Mavilia earned fourth in the junior division. In the sub-novice category for obedience, Mavilia took home a second place in the first-year junior division, and Lawson earned first place in the first-year senior division.
