Students make school ‘Appeal-ing’

On June 27, a group of Appeal Elementary School students and some of their older siblings returned to the school to volunteer their summer free time. The project centered on the beautification of the school’s front garden. Students removed and cleaned the decorative rocks that had become buried beneath several layers of mulch, weeded the garden and replaced the mulch. They placed the painted rocks back along the garden border and swept the area clean. Students were pleased with the end product, according to a release.
