Steelers crowned national champs

The Solomons Steelers cheerleading team took home a national championship when they won the nationals, which were held May 2-4 at the Virginia Beach Convention Center in Virginia Beach, Va.

The national title is the first for the team. The Steelers claimed the Awesome Teens Ltd. Division of the competition.
