Elizabeth Mears, daughter of Jack and Carole Mears of Mechanicsville, recently participated in the theater production of "Private Lives" at Salisbury University.

Mears played the role of Sibyl Chase in the Noel Coward play, directed by Robert Smith of SU's theater and dance department. Mears is a junior majoring in elementary education.

She is secretary of the Sophanes Theater Club and a member of Kappa Delta Pi, the education honor society, at SU.

She is a 2007 graduate of Chopticon High School in Morganza.
