Don't consolidate trash pickup

We are writing to protest the county's plan to consolidate local trash pickup to a few companies.

We are retired and live on a fixed income.

We currently use the tag-a-bag program at the landfill, which cost our family an average of $4 a month, and we recycle just about everything.

We think the proposed program will increase our taxes.

The people in Charles County should have a choice if they want to enlist in the program. We're sure the bidding process would not be fair and put a lot of small companies out of business.
