Margaret Karen Jackson Dunnington, 58, Waldorf

Margaret Karen Jackson Dunnington, 58, of Waldorf died Oct. 25, 2009, in Clinton.

Known as "Dee Dee" she was born Feb. 21, 1951, in Washington, D.C., daughter of Margaret and the late James D. "Jimmy" Jackson.

She was raised in Charles County and married Randolph J. Dunnington Jr. on June 16, 1973. They had three daughters. She was employed with Verizon Telephone, and retired on disability. She was a die-hard Washington Redskins fan and loved watching Pomonkey Giants baseball games where she was often the loudest in the crowd cheering.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Marie Jackson; brother, Anthony Daniel "Tony" Jackson; and niece and goddaughter, Shaneka Raynette Wallace-Cobey.

In addition to her mother and husband, she is survived by her daughters, Janet "Danette," Kecia and Tamiko; grandchildren, Malekia Dunnington, Devron Perry, Montavia Dunnington, Kyonna Perry, Monique Dunnington, Jordon Walker, Ce'quan Walker, Michael Walker Jr., Jermaine Walker, Aaron Bowman and Kamarja' Rogers; sisters, Shelia Wallace and Elaine Orris; brothers, Kenneth "Kenny" Jackson, Troy "Bobby" Jackson and Spencer Myers; sisters-in-law, Yolanda Jackson, Ada Hancock, Winifred Peeler, Catherine Perry and Lisa Dunnington; brothers-in-law, Anthony Orris and Willie Perry; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and family friends, Sondra Gray, Jackie Walton, Calvin Johnson, Michael Walker Sr. and Paul Ward Sr.

Visitation was held Oct. 29 at Williams Funeral Home, Indian Head. Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Oct. 30 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Pomfret. Burial will take place at the church cemetery.
