Shirley Deloris Key Parker, 69, of Charlotte Hall died Oct. 28, 2009, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata.

Born Aug. 19, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Sarah R. Key and the late Joseph W. Cornish.

She attended White Marsh Elementary School in Mechanicsville. She graduated from Banneker High School in Loveville in 1958. She retired with 31 years of service at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington, D.C.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, William L. Parker; and daughter, Stacey W. Parker.

A service will be held from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. Nov. 3 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Mechanicsville.

Arrangements are being handled by Adams Funeral Home, Aquasco.
