Edward E. Bailey Jr., 54, Frederick

Edward E. "Buster" Bailey Jr., 54, of Frederick died Oct. 27, 2009, at College View Center in Frederick.

He was born Aug. 6, 1955, in Washington, D.C., to Edward Sr. and Evelyn Martin Bailey. He was raised in Marlow Heights, attended Sandymount Elementary School, was a graduate of Potomac High School in Oxon Hill, class of 1973, and a 1979 graduate of Salisbury State University with a degree in business.

He was employed previously as an administrator at the Library of Congress and with the former C&P Telephone Company (now part of Verizon), and most recently at the non-profit Center for Creative Living in St. Mary's County. He was a former resident of California, Md., and a long-time resident of Dunkirk. He enjoyed music, playing guitar, attending record shows and watching his great-nephews' sporting activities.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his sister, Mary F. Clifton and her husband Steve of Charlotte, N.C.; his twin sister, Evie D. Wahl and her husband Don of Mt. Airy; nieces, Barbara Wahl (Greg Nottingham), Megan Wahl and Erin Clifton; nephew, Mike Clifton; and great-nephews, Zachary and Seth Nottingham.

Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1, at Rausch Funeral Home Funeral Home, 8325 Mt. Harmony Lane in Owings, where services and a celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2.

Interment will follow at Southern Memorial Gardens in Dunkirk.
