Maurice J. McDonough High School's drama department will present William McNulty's "Dracula," an adaptation of Bram Stoker's classic novel, at 7 p.m. Nov. 5-7 and 2 p.m. Nov. 8. The students will also present "Dracula's Lair," a haunted cemetery behind the auditorium, to raise money for a charitable food drive. Cans of food will be accepted, and the cemetery will be open 30 minutes before and after each show. The school is at 7165 Marshall Corner Road, Pomfret. Tickets are $10. Call 301-609-8198. Calvert Marine Museum's indoor auditorium will be full of Texas-style blues and power rock when The Fabulous Thunderbirds perform in the 200-seat venue at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 13. ‘Poe! Poe! Poe!' — The College of Southern Maryland's theater company will perform "Poe! Poe! Poe!" at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 and at 2 p.m. Oct. 31 in the fine arts center on the La Plata campus, 8730 Mitchell Road. The play is based on the adapted works of "The Tell-Tale Heart," "The Masque of the Red Death,""Annabel Lee" and the "Raven." COSMIC Symphony Orchestra — Southern Maryland's community orchestra will open its 7th season with "Heartstrings," a concert that will include Mahler's Symphony No. 1 and Tchaikovsky's Violin Concert, Op. 35, featuring violinist Jose Cuerto. Concerts will be held at 7 p.m. Oct. 30 at Southern Maryland Higher Education Center, 44219 Airport Road, California and at 4 p.m. Nov. 1 at Huntingtown High School, 4125 Solomons Island Road. Annmarie Garden Sculpture Park and Arts Center — "Echo" will continue through Nov. 8. The small group show showcases artists whose works contain recurring elements. In the café, "A Taste of Autumn" will continue throughout October. Hours are 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. Fee is $3, $2 for senior citizens and children 5-12 and free for children younger than 5. CalvART — "Five Guys" will continue through Nov. 8. Cars, crafts, Fall — Waldorf Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary and Station 12 will have a car show, craft fair and fall festival from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 1 at Regency Furniture Stadium, 11765 St. Linus Drive, Waldorf. Crafters can rent a space for $25 or two for $50; food vendors can rent a space for $50 or two for $100. Call 301-266-6509.

Charles County's Got Talent in the Arts Show and Recycle Art Contest — The Black Box Theatre and Art Smart Studio will have a talent show from 7-9:30 p.m. Nov. 20 and a recycled art contest from 1-3 p.m. Nov. 21. Creative types are invited to create a talent act lasting less than three minutes. For the recycle art contest, at least 50 percent of your creation should be made from trash.
