Hazardous waste to be collected Nov. 21

St. Mary's County government will be collecting hazardous household waste on Saturday, Nov. 21, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the St. Andrew's Landfill off St. Andrew's Church Road in California.

Items to be collected at the landfill that day include pharmaceuticals; disinfectants; paint; stains and polish; solvents and thinners; caustic cleaners; pool chemicals; lawn care chemicals; pet care chemicals; pesticides; fungicides and herbicides; batteries, thermometers; thermostats; fluorescent light bulbs; aerosol cans; as well as old gasoline, kerosene and other fuels.
