The Southern Maryland Sabres peewee travel team, coached by Bill Coady, defeated the Metro Maple Leafs, 6-0, on Nov. 1 at Waldorf's Capital Clubhouse with help from Logan Winzenburg's hat trick, followed by goals from Jack Brockman, Cameron Ethington and Andrew Keelan.

Providing outstanding defense were Michael McGregor, Nick DiGiovannantonio, Quinton Dade and Brendan White. Defending the net with her second straight shutout was Kira Maginnis.

The Midget U-16 travel team, coached by Tim Higgins, tied Navy, 5-5, on Oct. 31 at Capital Clubhouse.

Dylan Higgins and Charlie Yates each scored two goals and Greg Hoglund shot the tying goal.

Defending the net was Trevor Wallace with 10 saves on the day.

The Midget U-18 travel team, coached by Steve Groo, fell to the Metro Maple Leafs, 5-2, on Oct. 31 at the Ice Gardens Arena in Laurel.

Warren Coady gave the Sabres one goal and one assist. Sam Vogt also contributed one goal, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Maple Leafs offense. The goalie for the day was Jeff Fuhr.

The team traveled to Reston, Va., on Nov. 1 to take on the Reston Raiders and walked away with a 2-2 tie.

Both Steven Blankenship and Coady had goals for the Sabres.

Blankenship and Matt Scott also had assists. Fuhr was in net again for the Sabres.
