Robert Francis Burdette, 74, of Clinton died Nov. 1, 2009. Mr. Burdette was retired from A&P. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Nov. 8 at Lee Funeral Home, Clinton. A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 9 at Clinton United Methodist Church, Burial will take place at Fort Lincoln Cemetery.

Lawrence Ronnie Newman, 66, of Indian Head died Nov. 4, 2009, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata. Visitation will be held from 8 a.m. until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Nov. 10 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata. Burial will take place at the church cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by Thornton Funeral Home, Pomonkey.

Helen Eileen Vogel, 87, of Mechanicsville died Nov. 4, 2009, at St. Mary's Hospital, Leonardtown. Arrangements are being handled by Brinsfield-Echols Funeral Home, Charlotte Hall.

James B. Washington, 69, of Indian Head died Nov. 5, 2009, at Civista Medical Center, La Plata. Arrangements are being handled by Raymond Funeral Service, La Plata.

Catherine V. Dixon, 85, of Hollywood died Nov. 4, 2009, at St. Mary's Nursing Center, Leonardtown. Born April 21, 1924, in Hollywood, she was the daughter of the late John I. and the late Annie M. Readmond Dorsey. Arrangements are being handled by Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown.

Wayne Harrison Gladu, 66, of Mechanicsville died Nov. 3, 2009, at home. Born Dec. 16, 1942, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Leonard and Mary Kirchner Gladu. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Nov. 8 at Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home chapel, Leonardtown. Michael Wilkins will officiate. Inurnment will be private.

Steven Vance Standish, 39, of Great Mills died Nov. 4, 2009. He graduated from Chopticon High School in 1988. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at noon Nov. 7 at Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home, Leonardtown. Inurnment will be private.
