Howard Leroy Makle, 80, La Plata

Howard Leroy Makle, 80, of La Plata died of natural causes Oct. 31, 2009, at Washington Hospital Center, Washington, D.C.

Mr. Makle was a press operator for the federal government.

Born Feb. 17, 1929, in Maryland, he was the son of the late Howard A. Pinkey and the late Mary G. Makle Coombs.

He is survived by his sons, Raymond, Gary, Donald, Paul, Earl, Clifton and Roscoe; daughter, Sharon Makle; sisters, Rosetta, Ann, Stacey and Ernestine; many grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 7 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, La Plata. Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Nov. 10 at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Cheltenham. Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Arrangements are being handled by Adams Funeral Home, Aquasco.
