Norbert L. Langley, 83, of Church Hill, formerly of La Plata, died Nov. 2, 2009, at home.
Born July 29, 1926, in La Plata, he was the son of the late Francis Norbert Langley and the late Vinnie Kendrick Langley.
He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, from 1944 to 1946. At 20 he began his career with Pargas in Waldorf, retiring as president of the company after 40 years of service. In 1986, he moved to the Eastern Shore where he enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Deborah A. Raley; brothers, Carlton, Dave and Calvin Langley; and sister, Lois Fowler Larkins.
He is survived by his son, Donald E. Langley and his wife, Julie of Charlotte Hall; and five grandchildren.
Services will be private.
