Player of the year

Michael Hill

North Point junior

Resume: Capped his third season with All-County and All-SMAC player of the year honors, claiming the individual SMAC tournament crown with a 2-over par 74, edging teammate Mitchell Buccelli through two playoff holes, in which he won with a 10-foot birdie on Hole No. 18.

Earned the top score with a 3-over 75, lifting his team to bragging rights of the county championship; tied for second place in districts with a 74 to help lead his team to a district crown over second-place McDonough and third-place La Plata; led his team to a third-place finish in the 3A/4A states and carded a total two-day score of 169, shooting an 82 on Day 1 and 87 on Day 2

Coach of the year

Tony Jones

North Point (fifth season)

Resume: Heralded North Point to an undefeated regular season SMAC mark and conference coach of the year, ousting every conference opponent and led team to a district championship victory at Swan Point with a stellar performance where his team posted a score of 298, defeating La Plata by 36 strokes on the Warriors home course and McDonough by 25 strokes.

Led his team to a second consecutive SMAC tournament title as his team shot a 302, winning by 19 strokes, led them to the county superintendent's tournament cup crown and spearheaded them to a third-place showing at the Class 3A/4A state tournament with a two-day team score of 666, falling to second-place Churchill by six strokes and state champion Urbana (652)

Finished as the second best female in the state with two-day total of 159, placed fourth overall in districts with a 78, first-team all-SMAC

District champion with individual best par 72, placed second at SMAC tournament with a 74 after losing to Hill through two playoff holes, second on the team in states with two-day total of 168, first-team all-SMAC

Rob Taylor, McDonough junior

Earned fourth in districts, third at SMAC tournament with scores of 76, respectively; nine-hole average of 40, finished 14th in the state, first-team

Cas Dickerson,

McDonough sophomore

Tied for fifth in county tournament with and 83, took seventh in districts and 12th in states; nine-hole average of 40, second team All-SMAC

Seth Nagle, La Plata senior

Led the Warriors with a nine-hole average of 40; finished fifth at the SMAC tournament; tied for third
