Emmett Lloyd Fowler III, 53, Waldorf

Emmett Lloyd Fowler III, 53, of Waldorf died Nov. 7, 2009, at Georgetown Hospital University, Washington D.C.

Mr. Fowler graduated from Surrattsville High School in 1974.

He was member of Southern Maryland Hunt Club. He was an electrician for 35 years and owner of E.L. Electric, Inc.

He was a lifelong resident of Southern Maryland and a sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, crabbing, camping and four-wheeling.

He enjoyed playing cards with friends, was a fan of the Washington Redskins and NASCAR, loved spending time with his family and he enjoyed making people laugh.

Born April 25, 1956, in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Emmett L. Fowler Jr. and Katherine E. Fowler.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Emmett L. Fowler Sr., Mabel Wray and Elizabeth and Leonard Boertlein.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Donja L. Fowler; children, Joel S. Mitchell, Emmett L. Fowler IV and Wesley D. Fowler; grandchildren, Anthony Hayes and Kaleb Tucker; siblings, Donna K. Fowler and Michael L. Fowler; nephews, Michael L. Fowler II, John R. Risden, Christopher Risden, Blake Cook and Brandon Cook; and niece, Bonnie Engel.

Visitation was held Nov. 11 at Huntt Funeral Home, Waldorf, where a service was held Nov. 12. Burial was private.
