Charles has talent

The Black Box Theatre and Art Smart Studio will host a talent show from 7-9:30 p.m. Nov. 20 and a recycled art contest from 1-3 p.m. Nov. 21. Participate by creating a talent act that lasts less than three minutes. For the recycled art contest, at least 50 percent of your creation should be made from trash. ‘Color Your Holidays Happy'

Main Street Gallery will celebrate its 18th anniversary with a reception for its holiday exhibition from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 21. The show will feature work by several local artists. The gallery is at 486 Main St., Prince Frederick. Call 410-535-3334.

Champagne and chocolate

A "champagne and chocolate" reception will be held from 5-8 p.m. Nov. 21 at CalvART Gallery for a show featuring Abbey Griffin and Mimi Little. Hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Wednesday-Sunday. The gallery is at 110 Solomons Island Road, Prince Frederick. Call 410-535-9252.

Movie at the ballpark

Regency Furniture Stadium will host a screening of "The Polar Express" at 7 p.m. Nov. 20 to benefit the Wayne Yopp Memorial Fund. Fee is $4. Concessions will be available. The stadium is at 11765 St. Linus Drive, Waldorf. Call 301-638-9788.

Glowing ornaments
